Taylor Made Drivers are taking the golf game to a whole new level. Here are some of the features available depending on the driver you choose.

Flight Control Technology (FCT) allows you to easily adjust a metalwoods loft, lie and face angle. It uses a metallic sleeve positioned over the tip of the shaft. The sleeve can be rotated into different positions, changing the characteristics of the head, by loosening the bolt that secures the sleeve and shaft into the clubhead.

Movable Weight Technology (MWT), is discretionary clubhead weight that can be easily redistributed by the player to change the characteristics of the club. By moving differently weighted cartridges, using a proprietary Taylor Made wrench, into strategically positioned ports, CG location can be optimized per golfer. Positioning more weight in the heel and less in the toe, speeds club head rotation during the forwardswing, which promotes a draw and/or reduces a slice.

Superfast Technology, a technology developed for Taylor Made Burner drivers to promote faster swing speed and greater distance. It includes lighter, longer shafts, lighter grips, larger, more forgiving clubheads, higher COR clubfaces, higher launch angles and lower spin-rates.

Inverted Cone Technology, the Inverted Cone is CNC-milled directly into the inner side of the clubface, resulting in a drastic variation in face thickness. ICT optimizes the way the clubface behaves at impact to create an expanded COR zone. Inverted Cone Technology has been incorporated into every Taylor Made Driver since the R500 SeriesTM.

Dual Crown Technology, a noticeably smaller crown sits on top of a large power-base, allowing CG to be placed far back and deep. This CG placement promotes increased carry and tour-caliber distance.

Ultra Thin Wall Technology ,  is a casting process that allows thinner clubhead walls than found in most competitive drivers. The saved weight is critical to making the incorporation of MWT and FCT possible in certain Taylor Made metalwoods.

Taylormade r7 Driver

TaylorMade continues its long-running standard of excellence with the men’s r7 SuperQuad 460 driver.

This Taylormade r7 driver is distinguished by the company’s TaylorMade Launch Control (TLC) technology, which gives golfers the freedom to alter the driver’s launch conditions by redistributing 26 grams of discretionary weight in a variety of ways.

While the average driver delivers a single set of launch conditions, the r7 SuperQuad offers six, letting you choose the one that generates the best combination of distance, accuracy, and workability.

The system is built around a quartet of widely spaced ports–called TLC ports–that are located in the sole of the club head. TaylorMade’s specialists then developed differently weighted TLC cartridges (two 12-gram weights and two 1-gram weights) that can be installed in the ports and removed again. Adding individual cartridges effectively shifts the center of gravity toward the front, back, heel, or toe of the club, depending on your personal performance needs.

TaylorMade’s engineers accomplished this by expanding the use of Ultra-Thin-Wall Technology throughout the clubhead, giving them more space to add weight without compromising the structural design of the club.

The company also incorporated Inverted Cone Technology (ICT) into the design to produce a highly effective Motion of Inertia (eMOI), which exceeds 5800 while still conforming to USGA standards.
